If today is September 29 and your flight is December 20, there are 82 days to go — 11 weeks and 5 days.

Work deadline

The weekdays figure tells you how many working days remain, which is often the more useful number for deadlines.

How the countdown works

The calculator counts calendar days from today to the target date, not including today. If the date has already passed, it tells you how many days ago it was.

Weekdays remaining counts Monday to Friday between tomorrow and the target date, inclusive. Public holidays aren't removed.

Frequently asked questions

Does the count include today?

No. If the target is tomorrow, the answer is 1 day. This matches how most people count down (“one more sleep”).

Which time zone is used?

Your device's local date. Someone in a different time zone may see a count one day different around midnight.

Can I count down to a date next year?

Yes — any date works. Presets like Christmas automatically jump to next year once this year's date has passed.
