About Quickora

Quickora is a collection of small, focused tools for the numbers and text that come up in everyday life: working out pay, counting days, converting units, checking a word count or shrinking a photo.

What we care about

• The tool comes first. Every page opens with a working tool, not an article you have to scroll past.
• Correct answers you can check. Each calculator shows its formula and assumptions. Calculations are covered by automated tests that run before anything is published.
• Privacy. Calculators, text tools and image tools run in your browser. We don't upload what you type or the files you choose.
• Speed. Pages are pre-rendered and load only the code needed for the tool on screen.

How tools are made

New tools start from real questions people search for. Before a tool is published it has to pass a quality review: it must solve a distinct problem, produce correct results for a set of test cases, work on a phone, and explain itself clearly. Pages that don't meet that bar aren't published.
